Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna 2006 Hindi 720p
It is a busy year for Shah Rukh Khan. His fans will be glad to hear that his film Don has not only become the top grosser of the year, but also one of the top [grossing films] that Indian cinema has ever produced. So what can Shah Rukh do? Well, this year is his busiest. If Shah Rukh has Don, do you need [the picture shown on the screen]? The movie Don grossed Rs 62.5 crore in just 24 days. In a busy year, KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA is the clear target of the [film shown on the screen]().
On the other hand, KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA is a big win for Karan Johars version of the Hollywood cake walk. Not only did it get released in Hindi, there were more songs in Hindi than there were in English. All of which were perfectly executed and sung by the biggest names in the industry.
But while the film is doing great business at the box office, has a song that will make you weep and has gone on to become a staple in everyday Bollywood conversation, there is a very serious dilemma that Karan must deal with. Karan Johar has always been about making a spectacle out of his movies and telling a political, dramatic, provocative or other kind of genre film. But, with this KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA (or is it Gehraiyaan? You decide...) twist, he seems to have taken a giant leap to a very different film. So, after 16 years, the Karan Johar movie was even more Bollywood than Bollywood. Over the years, he has made a number of films that straddle both the worlds of cinema and Bollywood. But this time, KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA almost seems to be straying from the Bollywood path, to the world of YouTube. This is unprecedented.
REVIEW: KABHI ALVIDA NA ALVIDAI had planned to wait for this film to come on PVR then go for a short break before going to VeeraswamyThe film started with the introductory credits - : like the title card of some pirate ship (Pirates of the Caribbean) which is full of irony because Karan has been dealt with other types of these kind of pirates in this film - pirates of movies and of business. (hurtling through the corridors of a corporate office seems to be much like the "glide" as shown in the credits and all is right in the world. ) The closing title says 'enjoy this ride... And then the film started with these six lines - : "We live in a world where people still believe in magic. Trust me, they do" "Acting is a business and there is no difference between reality and a work of fiction" Karan's inclination to import the 60s in the film is quite evident in the title card too - :KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNAThis is an effort to make a statement that there is a difficulty in adapting the 60s. But whatever Karan says is that the film is not an attempt to be authentic. The elements like the "marriage" is similar to the kind of marriage that a bride does in our reality. Yes it is not a film about the 60s but a film with a pseudo and a travesty to the 60s. And Karan presents the film in a style that it is not the same as the 60s. This is the point at which Karan has left the platform for people to see and interpret. Take the post kiss scene for example. The hero and heroine leaves the room - :And then a guy with a guitar enters the room and sings a song called Sun Rise and the hero and heroine go back to their room all smiles. But I have one question - :Is Sun Rise the real song used in the film? Or was it just a song used by the filmmakers to portray the song that they want to portray? There is nothing wrong with the song being used but in this case it could be quite an insult to the audience to use a song that they already know. Thus in this case it is both film makers indulging in a fraud and insult to the intelligence of the audience. Also the fact that the song was not used in the film shows that Karan has no faith or respect to the songwriter as well. People who are creators of lyrics and music often go through all kinds of training to become a song writer. If Karan couldn't do that to become a lyricist then why does he need to become a film maker? kabhi alvida naa kehna 2006 hindi 720p This also explains one of my reasons for not accepting his films. They behave as if they are so superior and the audiences are in the wrong for not appreciating them. 5ec8ef588b
